TERMS OF INTERNSHIP &  RELEASE OF LIABILITY FOR VOLUNTEER & INTERNS

Come Volunteer with Us!

This document acts as a release of liability and outlines the conditions upon which Soleil Music and Arts (“the Organization”) has agreed to allow you (“the Intern”) to join the Organization’s internship program to assist with various activities undertaken by the Organization. Your receipt of this document and signature below indicates your acceptance and enforceability of all

the terms herein.

1. THE INTERNSHIP

1.1 The purpose of the educational internship is for the Intern to learn about the Organization and to gain valuable insight and experience.

1.2 The Internship is unpaid, and the Intern understands that the work performed by her/him will not

be remunerated.

1.3 The Intern enters this Internship voluntarily and the Organization is under no obligation to provide the Intern

with future paid employment.

2. INTERNSHIP PERIOD

The Internship will be from …………………………………. to ………….………………………..,

not withstanding the signature date of this agreement.

Dates that the intern is aware that he/she will be absent from internship (due to travels, family visiting or school

obligations):

3. THE INTERN’S GENERAL OBLIGATIONS

The Intern undertakes to:

3.1 adhere to all Organization policies, procedures, rules and regulations;

3.2 give her/his supervisor all necessary information regarding the Internship, including related assignments

and reports;

3.3 be responsible for her/his own transport to and from the location of the Internship;

3.4 be punctual and maintain a regular Internship schedule, which will be decided between the Intern and

her/his supervisor;

3.5 dress and act professionally and adopt a cooperative attitude;

3.6 be honest and faithful to the Organization in the performance of her/his duties and not do anything which

endangers the good name and reputation of the Organization; and

4. CONFIDENTIALITY

The Intern acknowledges that any information, documents, materials, knowledge and proprietary interests disclosed

to the Intern by the Organization or an associated third party is confidential and may not be used or disclosed to any

third party.

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Without limitation, the Intern expressly acknowledges that the Organization is the owner of all intellectual property

relating to any concepts, documents, designs, copyrights and trademarks associated in any manner with the

Organization, whether created by the Intern or not.

6. TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT

6.1 The Organization reserves the right to terminate the Internship, without notice, for any reason which in its sole

discretion deems necessary.

6.2 Should the Intern wish to terminate the Internship, s/he shall first confer with her/his supervisor.

6.3 Should the Internship be terminated:

6.3.1 the Intern will fulfill any outstanding obligations to the Organization; and

6.3.2 the Intern will immediately return all documentation or other property belonging to the

Organization which is in the Intern’s possession.

7. LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION

7.1 Apart from instances of dishonesty or gross negligence, the Intern releases and holds harmless the

Organization and assigns from any and all liability, claims and demands of whatever kind or nature which

arise or may arise in the future as a result of the activities undertaken by the Intern during the

Internship.

7.2 The Intern understands and acknowledges that potential risks to her/his health, safety and personal

property may be associated with her/his participation in the Internship. The Intern voluntarily assumes

those risks.

7.3 The Intern certifies that s/he has informed her/his supervisor of any pre-existing medical condition and

releases the Organization from any claim whatsoever that arises from any complication of any preexisting medical condition.

7.4 The Intern acknowledges that this agreement is binding and enforceable on her/him and her/his legal

guardian, if applicable. The Intern expressly agrees that this agreement shall be governed by and

interpreted in accordance with the laws of The United States & Texas.

7.5 The Intern agrees if a clause or provision of this agreement is held to be invalid by any court of

competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue to be enforceable.
