Elementary Music Enrichment Program

Our EMEP is offered exclusively to our community partners by request. If your organization is interested in learning more please Contact Us.

Class programming is customized to the needs of our community partners. Options can include:​​

  • Weekly, bi-weekly, daily class schedule

  • Introduction to various instruments

  • Music reading & writing instruction

  • Rhythm & movement studies

  • Elementary music theory games

  • Interactive singing sessions

  • Creative composition projects

  • Music History

  • Music themed arts and crafts

  • Engaging music exercises

  • Performance opportunities

Language Development

Incorporating singing and listening exercises into children's language learning can help them recognize the different sound components that make up words.

Mathematics

Both music and math are dominated by patterns. Rhymes, songs, and music are some of the first experiences children have with patterns.

Arts and Crafts

Children practice creative expression through music related arts and crafts activities, encouraging imagination and fine motor skills development.

Social Skills

Exposing children to diverse musical styles helps them understand and appreciate different cultures, traditions, and perspectives, promoting social awareness as well as empathy and cooperation.

Elementary music classes establish the foundation of music learning!

Students are involved in active music-making. They sing, play instruments, and move to music from various cultures. They read, write, and reproduce rhythmic and melodic patterns.
