What is the Soleil Music and Arts Volunteer Internship Program? The program offers high school and college students majoring in music a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the arts sector. Interns support various projects and initiatives, contributing to the growth and success of our programs while developing their skills and knowledge.
Who is eligible to apply? The program is open to high school students with a demonstrated interest in music (participation in a school music program or community music group) and college students who are majoring in music or have a strong interest in music. Applicants should be passionate about music and community service.

What kind of tasks will I be doing? Volunteer Interns will assist with chamber group rehearsal and section support, event planning and coordination, community outreach, general program support, some administrative tasks, and other projects that align with their skills and interests.
What is the duration of the volunteer internship? The duration varies depending on the program schedule and your availability. Typically, internships last for one semester and as your availability allows during the summer, but we offer flexible options to accommodate school commitments. Volunteer interns are generally required to attend and participate in our Chamber Group every Friday evening.
Is this a paid employment internship? No, this is a volunteer internship. However, the experience and skills you gain, along with the networking opportunities, provide invaluable benefits for your current goals and future career.
How many hours per week are required? Volunteer Interns are generally expected to commit to [1 to 2 hours] per week. Specific schedules can be arranged to fit around your school and extracurricular activities.
Will I receive training? Yes, we provide all necessary training and resources to ensure you have a successful and rewarding experience. Orientation and ongoing support will be available throughout your time with us.
